Shafik and his team are proud to support organizations at home in Richmond, throughout the province, and across Canada that make a profound difference in everyday lives. Our agents and associates are dedicated to making both local and national communities stronger, regularly contributing time and dollars to charitable organizations and local causes.

BC Children's Hospital

The BC Children's Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre provide support and expert care for the province's most seriously injured and ill children. Based in Vancouver, the BC Children's Hospital and Sunny Hill assist children of all ages from infant to adolescent, providing specialized training in pediatric health care. As a provincial leader in children's healthcare services, the Children's Hospital is affiliated with the University of British Columbia, the Simon Fraser University, and the Child & Family Research Institute to support ongoing research and provide every child with better healthcare.

BC Children's Hospital delivers child and youth health and rehabilitation services – including many services not available anywhere else in the province – and is the premier treatment, teaching and research facility for child health in British Columbia, assisting and caring for over 200,000 children annually.

Shafik continues to be a steadfast supporter of the BC Children's Hospital, and is honoured to play a role in helping keep these vital services available for children and their families across the province.

"Dear Shafik,
Thank you for your generous donations in 2010! Your ongoing support has made a difference for the children and their families, at the hospital. Your commitment and generosity is greatly appreciated and I look forward to working with you and the Re/Max Group this year."

BC Cancer Foundation

The BC Cancer Foundation is an independent charitable organization that raises funds to support breakthrough research and care at the BC Cancer Agency, which is responsible for cancer care and control for everyone throughout British Columbia. The Foundation has offices in all five of the BC Cancer Agency Treatment Centres: Abbotsford, Fraser Valley, Southern BC Interior, Vancouver Island, and Vancouver.

"Despite the population of British Columbia being large, mortality rates from all cancers have been some of the lowest, if not the lowest, in Canada. These outcomes reflect your commitment to our cause and the steps we will take to achieve our vision: a world free from cancer."
